Two ways to swing.

Play with your iPhone or iPad sideways. Choose your club and aim first, then use the method that feels best.

Swipe · backswing and follow-through

  1. Hold your finger on the course, away from the controls. Leave room below your starting point.
  2. Pull down for the backswing, watching the power meter.
  3. Sweep up and release to take the shot. Keep your finger on the screen until you finish the upward motion.

Tap · three taps

  1. Tap the course to start the power meter.
  2. Tap again when the meter reaches the power you want.
  3. Tap a third time when the accuracy indicator is near the center to take the shot. Time the tap; you do not need to tap the indicator itself.

Open How to play during a round and use the swing-method button to switch between Trace (swipe) and Tap. Practice on the Range without adding strokes to your round. For putts, allow for slope.

Quick answers

How do I learn the controls?

Choose New to Golf? on the opening screen, or How to play during a round. The Range lets you try every club and practice distance control without adding strokes to your round.

What are the cards for?

Cards give optional advantages that can help save a shot. Read each card’s description, then tap it in Your cards during play. You can play one ability card per hole. Refills and optional trades happen before holes 4 and 7.

Can I return to an unfinished round?

The game saves progress on your device. Reopen it and use the saved-round option. Deleting the app can remove that progress; there is no game-account sign-in or separate cloud-sync feature.

Where are the controls?

Tap Show controls to bring the information panel back. Tap Hide controls for a wider view of the course.
